Dennis Cash is the Extension Forage Crop Specialist with the Animal & Range Sciences Department at Montana State University. Currently, Dr. Cash coordinates the Montana forage variety trials, and he manages several other forage projects. His current emphasis is on hay and pasture management for optimum productivity and quality. Dr. Cash was instrumental in organizing the Montana Hay Growers Association, and he is active with the seed and livestock industries. 

Dr. Cash grew up on an irrigated farm in eastern New Mexico, and studied Crop Science at New Mexico State University where he completed his B.S. (1977) and M.S. (1979) degrees. He received his PhD in Crop and Soil Science at Montana State University in 1983.
